Tanny Fischer
Tammy is a fourth generation Calgarian. She is influenced by where she is from, her experiences and the beautiful landscapes around her, the impact of these experiences can be seen in her work. She loves to explore ideas and different mediums, playing with shapes and forms to create mixed media pieces that are thoughtfully put together, as an investigation of ideas and the exploration of place, which are all part of the journey of discovery.
Tammy graduated from the AUA in 2006 and has been a practicing Professional Artist and Teacher since graduation.
Tammy creates to explore while experimenting with new mediums and sub straights, using stainless-steel as the background reflects the viewer back into the landscape. Landscape is the scenery from a memory and place. The colors used are part of how we see memories as bright and colorful and the reflection of self in the stainless-steel places you back into the memory.
